Comparative Study On Different Horizontal Subsurface Substrates In Flow Wetlands.

All experiments were carried out on a field-scale, subsurface, subsurface wetland system at the Sherbeen Wastewater Treatment Plant in Sherbeen City, Sherbeen, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt. A greenhouse experiment has been conducted to study the effect of using different wetland substrates that have been compiled on the basis of effluent treatment efficiency. Wetland beds have been prepared with locally available plants, in particular (Phragmites Australis). The effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated on parameters such as biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN), total suspended solids (TSS) and total phosphorus (TP). The results indicate that nutrient reduction corresponds to lower flow in wetland beds. Effect Of Physiological And Chemical Nano Garlic Supplementation On Broiler Chickens.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with garlic extract 1g/kg and synthesized calcium nanoparticles with garlic extract (0.5 and 1 g/kg) on growth performance, blood profiles and histology in broilers. A total of one hundred twelve1-d-old unsexed broiler chicks were randomly allotted to 4 treatments with 4 replications per treatment and 28 chicks per pen floor. Feed and water were offered ad libitum till the termination of the trial after 42 days. Growth performance parameters and blood parameters were measured. The live body weight (LBW), body weight grow (BWG), feed intake (FI) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) of broilers fed the control group, garlic extract 1 g/kg and Nano garlic 0.5g/kg were no significant but feeding the Nano garlic 1 g/kg produced significantly lowest means of LBW, BWG and FI as compared to other groups in t…

Impact Of Exogenous Pyridoxin Treatments Of ‘Williams’ Banana On The Activities Of Starch Degrading Enzymes.

Pyridoxine activates many different enzymes in the plant cell and it contributes to many various physiological processes. It has been examined for stimulating and enhancing banana fruit 'Williams' (Giant Cavendish AAA sub-gathering) during12 days of the shelf life. Many different concentrations of vitamin B6 0, 3, 6, 9, and 12mM have been applied to bananas for 30 min. Thereafter, fruit stored at room temperature (25 ± 1oC and air humidity average 56 ± 2%) for twelve days. Fruit samples were selected each 3-day intervals. The physical and chemical analysis was determined to evaluate fruit ripening quality elements. The physical quality attributes of fruit were measured (brown skin spot index and color hue angle).
