Cinnamomum zeylanicum Extract as Green Corrosion Inhibitor for Carbon Steel in Hydrochloric Acid Solutions. The extraction of cinnamomum have been evaluated as green inhibitor for the corrosion of carbon steel in 1M HCl solution was investigated using weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), electrochemical frequency modulation (FEM) and energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) methods of monitoring corrosion. The inhibitive property of the extraction is attributed to the presence of cinnamic aldehyde as major constituent in the extraction. Measurements showed that this extraction act as mixed-type inhibitor. The inhibition efficiency was found to increase with inhibitor concentration. Results obtained by various techniques are close to each other and maximum efficiency of 81.1 % is acknowledged at the inhibitor concentration of 600 ppm. Langmuir

Effect Of Crude Methanolic Extracts Of Some Fruit Tree Leaves On Some Blood Constituents Of Diabetic Rats. Crude methanoilc extracts of thompson seedless, flame seedless, zizyphus, pomegranate and fig leaves were prepared. In this work the efficiency of the investigated extracts has been studied to elucidate their activities on some blood constituents of diabetic rats. The most effective treatment was the methanolic extract of zizyphus leaves which decreased blood glucose level to 128.33mg/dl at a dose of 40mg/100g body weight after 30 days where the maximum reduction of about 66.95% was obtained comparing with control diabetic rats. Whereas treatments of streptozocin diabetic rats with methanolic extract of thompson seedless leaves resulted the maximum percentage of reduction in ALT activity with 60.91% after 30 days by using 40mg/100 body weight. Delaying Guava Riprning By Exogenous Salisylic Acid. The experiment was conducted to study the effect of exogenous salicylic acid (SA) treatment (water, 100, 300 and 500 μM) on fruit repining of guava cv 'Baladi' during 12 days shelf-life at room temperature. Fruit were harvested at three different color maturities green mature stage (G), green yellow (GY) and yellow stage (Y). Thereafter, fruits were immersed in SA solutions for 20 min. Fruit were immersed at high level 500 μMhad less IL%, degradation in total phenol, fruit browning and maintained the amount of vitamin C. Effect Of Organic And Inorganic Salts On Mycelial Growth, Sporulation And Spore Germination Of Potato Postharvest Pathogens. Ten organic and inorganic salts were tested for suppression of Fusarium solani, a causal agent of potato dry rot, and silver scurf, a postharvest disease of potato tubers caused by Helminthosporium solani. Ammonium acetate, ammonium chloride, ammonium tartarate, calcium chloride dehydrate, magnesium sulfate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, potassium iodide, sodium benzoate, sodium bicarbonate and sodium sulphate were added to Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) at concentrations of 0.1 M, 0.2 M and 0.4 M. Several salts significantly inhibited the mycelial growth, sporulation and spore germination of F. solani and H. solani . Dill Extract As Green Inhibitor For The Corrosion Of Carbon Steel In H 3 PO 4 Solution. The inhibiting effect of dill extract (DE) on the corrosion of C-steel in 1 N H 3 PO 4 was studied by weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results showed that the inhibition efficiency increases with increasing the inhibitor concentration, while it decreases with increasing the temperature. The adsorption of dill extract on the C-steel surface obeys Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Some thermodynamic parameters were calculated and discussed. The values of free energy of adsorption for investigated inhibitors were calculated. Polarization curves show that dill extract is mixed-type inhibitors. Effect Of Herbal Beverages Of Foeniculum Vulgare And Cymbopogon Proximus On Inhibition Of Calcium Oxalate Renal Crystals Formation In Rats. This study was carried out to produce new herbal beverages from Foeniculum vulgare and Cymbopogon   proximus using for inhibiting or preventing calcium oxalate crystals formation. The preliminary chemical composition and phytochemical tests of Foeniculum vulgare and Cymbopogon   proximus have been examined. Also, total polyphenols and total flavonoids contents were determined. Our results illustrated that Foeniculum vulgare and Cymbopogon   proximus contained average values of 9.5 and 13.25 mgGAE/g for total polyphenols, respectively. While, the concentration of total flavonoids were 5.25 and 3.5 mgQE/g for Foeniculum vulgare and Cymbopogon   proximus , respectively. Phytochemical Analysis And Antifungal Activity Of Fruit Leaves Extracts On The Mycelial Growth Of Fungal Plant Pathogens. Methanolic extracts of leaves of thompson seedless grape, flame seedless grape, zizyphus, pomegranate and fig were screened for their phytochemical constituents and also investigated for their antifungal activity in vitro against phytopathogenic fungi, Alternaria solani, Botrytis cinerea, Botrytis fabae, Fusarium oxysporum and Fusarium solani . Phytochemical screening of crude methanolic extracts revealed the presence of terpenes, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, carbohydrate or glycosides, phenolic glycosides and resins in all extracts, while saponins were not detected from any extracts except zizyphus and fig. Zizyphus leaves had the highest concentration of total polyphenols and total flavonoids content which were 147.47 mgGAE/g and 16.35 mgQE/g, respectively. HPLC analysis identified twelve polyphenolic
